I had such a great time photographing one of my favorite families in one of my favorite spots. It was a relaxed and easy shoot with the most beautiful lighting. We met the Smiths when my son, Jackson, started kindergarten because Finn (their oldest son) and Jackson were in the same class. We then discovered that they lived on our street and the boys have been close friends ever since. Meghan was instrumental in pushing me to start this business and has been so supportive along the way. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family in our lives!

It’s very fitting that my first blog post is about this beautiful baby because Baby Blake, in some ways, started this professional photography journey. It has been photographing her first year of life that made me passionate about starting this business. I have known the Sutton family since 2012 when my son Jackson was 3 months old and I desperately needed to get out of the house. I signed us up for a baby class at Music Together and on that first day we met Leanne and Landon (Blake’s mom and older brother). Landon was 4 months old and from that day forward Leanne and I were the best of mommy friends and Landon and Jackson were each other’s first best friend. Together we survived the baby years and have been close friends ever since. Our families have each grown and we have all maintained a wonderful friendship that I truly cherish.

When Leanne asked me to take Blake’s newborn photos I was truly honored. This is such a precious and fleeting time and so important to document. Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot.
